Through data capture and utilisation, the team collaborate with the wider business to give us the ability to truly understand customer behaviour and purchasing patterns, to create a tailored experience to each and every customer. From working with e-commerce, supply chain and logistics, to customer insights, marketing and brand, data helps refine and back up every decision we make. It also helps us to predict demand and manage stock levels and streamline our warehouse and delivery process.

AO’s Delivery team is the powerhouse behind bringing our strategic roadmap to life. We’re here to turn ambitious plans into real results, and we don’t hang about. The team covers everything from Project Management and Business Analysis to our PMO, with one shared mission: to be the destination for electricals!

We work across every corner of AO, from retail to brand, marketing, and logistics—there’s no part of the business we’re not connected with. From the first lightbulb moment all the way through to go live, we take ownership and make it all happen at AO speed. That means we don’t just talk about what we’re going to do—we roll up our sleeves and get it done, today.

Our fast-paced approach comes with full end-to-end accountability, and we work closely with senior leaders to make quick, smart decisions when they matter most. No waiting around, no endless red tape—just positive outcomes, delivered with precision and pace.

Our wider functions within the tech team are part of our foundation and play a key part in our entire operation.

Our Infrastructure team are the backbone of technical operations. They maintain our servers and networks, ensuring our platform is available 247/365, whilst also enabling seamless scalability during our busiest periods throughout the year.

Protecting all data across the business, we have our Cyber Security team. They safeguard the data of our millions of customers, and mitigate risks of any potential attacks, ensuring we remain the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer.

All of our AOers have the tech and equipment they need to focus on delivering exceptional service, all because of our Service Desk team! They’re always on hand to ensure everything works to its full capability and issues are resolved quickly to prevent any disruptions. They are our frontline support and the unsung hero’s when a quick “turn off and back on” doesn’t work!
