Our Sales Executives play a big part in keeping our customers content and their purchases protected. We’ve got a range of teams that look after our customers at different stages of their journey – just one of the ways we’ve been recognised as the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer.
But it’s not all work and no play.

Inbound Sales
Our inbound sales team are on hand taking calls from customers to support them through the buying process, and offering our value-added services as part of the conversation.
And it’s not just our customers we want to keep happy; we want our AOers to have a permanent smile too. With awards days, incentives and social activities to boot – you can be sure you can work hard AND play hard in our inbound sales team.
Did you know? 100% of our Sales Managers have been promoted internally! We make sure every single AOer has a defined career path with team and individual training sessions to make sure you’re always at the top of your game.
Outbound Sales
We like to keep things simple for our Outbound Sales Executives, so you’ll be tasked with speaking with customers to sell our AO Care insurance plan. That might be a few days after they’ve placed the order, or when their product’s manufacturer warranty is coming to an end to offer our value-added services instead.
And the best part? No cold calling. All of your calls will be made to our existing customer base – 100% warm leads!
It’s a fast paced, high volume sales environment – so if the buzz of closing a sale keeps you ready and raring to go, this could be the place for you.
We take a consultative approach with our customers, because nobody likes a pushy sales person. We trust you, and your experience, to get the best results every time.

Telephone Interview with our Talent Acquisition Team
Now we’ve reviewed, and if your experience matches our criteria, you’ll get an email to book in a call with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists. They’ll chat through your experience and tell you a little more about the job. Top tip – take another look at the job advert before your call!
Face-to-face Interview
If you’re successful from your call, we’ll invite you in for a face-to-face interview to meet with some of our managers. You’ll do a scenario based role play. They’ll also ask you some questions about your sales experience, skills and motivations.
Offer
If you’ve aced your interview, we’ll give you a call to share the great news! This will be within 48 working hours. You’ll be sent everything you need to get you set up ahead of joining the team.
It’s super important to us to share feedback at every stage, so we’ll always keep you in the loop!

1st stage Teams Interview
If you’re successful from your call, we’ll invite you for a 30 minute virtual Teams interview with one of our managers. They’ll do a further CV run through, and ask you some questions about your sales experience, skills and motivations.
2nd stage face-to-face Interview
If you’re successful from your 1st stage interview, we’ll invite you in for a final stage face-to-face interview to meet with some of our managers. You’ll do a scenario based role play, and then they’ll ask you any further questions.
