Strive for More – Andrews journey as sales executive in Manchester

Back to articles

I was offered my role as a Sales Executive at AO.com 3 years ago and it’s safe to say that I haven’ looked back since I’ve started!

There is so much AO has to offer. I have been lucky enough to be offered a number of opportunities to progress my career here, which is very rare in other businesses.

Beginning my journey as a Sales Executive and becoming an Assistant Sales Manager in the space of a couple of years has definitely got to be one of my biggest achievements.

I absolutely love working in Sales so when I ultimately decided I wanted to progress further in my career, I was given an overwhelming amount of support from my peers and managers.

I knew exactly what was expected of me and what my strengths are so I felt more than prepared when my interview came around.

Money definitely has to be a perk of the role. The money I’ve earned has allowed me to buy my dream home and support my family in whatever they want to do.  As an Assistant Manager, there is nothing better than seeing someone succeed and earn at least £600 commission every week!

I can say I have never felt valued in previous Sales roles but at AO.com it truly feels like one big family and everyone knuckles down together. If we are ever behind the team target; we’ll all stay late, order some pizzas and make sure we reach our target together! I have never experienced a whole team happy to stay behind without being asked before.

Other than the role, socialising is always encouraged and AO throw amazing events for us. We have regular nights out, awards evenings and the Christmas Party is always one to talk about.

I can definitely see a future for me at AO. It’s a career that I am proud of, one that I know I’ll progress in, with a company that will support me 100% in anything I choose to do.
