Job Overview

About The Role

We’re on the lookout for a Senior PPC Executive to join our Commercial team and help us make big things happen in AO’s Mobile sector. You’ll be the driving force behind our PPC campaigns, managing everything from setup to optimisation across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.

If you love digging into data, writing ads that grab attention, and finding smart ways to boost performance, this role is for you. It’s all about making sure our campaigns deliver the best bang for our buck while helping customers find the tech they love.

Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we we’re together!

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Running PPC Campaigns: Build and optimise campaigns that really perform across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, focusing on the mobile retail space.
  • Crunching the Numbers: Dive into CTRs, CPAs, and conversion rates using tools like Looker Studio and Excel, then turn those insights into action.
  • Managing Budgets & Keywords: Keep our spend efficient and our keywords sharp with regular reviews and smart allocation.
  • Creating Ads That Pop: Write ad copy that stands out and test different headlines, descriptions, and CTAs to keep improving results.
  • Keeping an Eye on the Competition: Stay ahead of market trends and competitor moves using Auction Insights and other tools.
  • Working as a Team: Collaborate with commercial and analytics teams to plan campaigns for big retail moments like Black Friday and product launches.

A Few Things About You

  • Hands-on experience with PPC campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.. Bonus points if you’ve worked with SA360 or automated bidding tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence with Excel, turning data into clear, actionable insights.
  • A natural organiser, able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively to hit deadlines.
  • Great at building relationships and explaining performance in a way that everyone understands.
  • Always curious and adaptable, keen to learn new trends and keep up with the fast-moving world of PPC.
