About The Role
Ready to make your mark in digital marketing?
We’re looking for a data-driven Senior PPC Executive to join our Mobile team and help us drive online sales to the next level. If you love getting hands-on with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, thrive on optimising campaigns, and want to see your work make a real difference, you’ll fit right in at AO
Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite in our Bolton office 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- Set up, manage, and optimise high-performing PPC campaigns for our Mobile retail business, focusing on sales volume and efficiency.
- Dive into campaign data using Google Ads Reports, Looker Studio, and Excel - spotting trends, sharing insights, and making sure we’re always improving.
- Own keyword research, search term reviews, and negative keyword management. You’ll keep a close eye on budgets to make every penny count.
- Write compelling ad copy for RSAs, test new ideas, and make sure our ads stand out for all the right reasons.
- Keep tabs on the competition and market trends, using Auction Insights to stay one step ahead.
- Work closely with our commercial analytics team to shape campaign strategies, present results to senior stakeholders, and help us smash key retail events like Black Friday and new product launches.
A Few Things About You
- Hands-on experience running PPC campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. If you’ve used SA360 or other automated bidding platforms, even better!
- Confident with Excel-you know your way around data and can turn numbers into actions.
- Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks with support from the team.
- A great communicator who can build relationships, share updates, and make data easy to understand.
- Eager to learn, adapt, and grow - you’ll keep up with the latest PPC trends and always look for ways to improve
A Bit About Us
We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.
But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.
We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.
