About The Role
We’re looking for a Data Project Manager who knows how to get things done.
You’ll lead a mix of complex data projects, keeping things moving and making sure we’re focused on what really matters, delivering value to the business. You’ll be right at the centre of it all, working across multiple data teams, balancing priorities and keeping everyone aligned.
You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders, including our Head of Data, not just to deliver what’s asked, but to challenge where needed, ask the right questions and make sure we’re landing the best outcomes.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
You’ll own the delivery of multiple data projects at once, making sure everything lands on time, within budget and to a high standard. This isn’t just about managing plans, you’ll drive outcomes, challenging teams and stakeholders to get the most value from what we’re doing.
You’ll be comfortable working across the data space, from warehousing to modelling and wider architecture. You don’t need to be hands-on, but you’ll know enough to have proper conversations with engineers, analysts and architects.
You’ll sit at the centre of stakeholder management. Juggling priorities, balancing resource and pushing back where needed, including with senior leaders like the Head of Data and our Technology Director. You’ll keep things moving, even when there’s tension.
And when it comes to governance, you’ll keep things clear and simple - managing risks early, giving honest updates and making sure there are no surprises.
A Few Things About You
- Proven experience managing data-centric projects (data warehousing, data modelling, ETL, BI solutions).
- Experience in enterprise-scale data transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and ability to engage with technical teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience challenging senior leaders.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
