About The Role

The Group Procurement team have a huge part to play in the success of AO’s strategies.

Without them, we wouldn’t have the insights needed to make timely decisions that influence a whole range of things including cost savings, commercial forecasting and operational efficiency ensuring AO is the number one destination for electricals.

You’d be responsible for supporting the Procurement Manager in providing contract and supplier insight as well as governance and control to help AO grow and achieve its goals.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Support in removing cost from the supply chain through right sizing, rationalisation and addressing tail spend
  • Promote/communicate the Group Procurement vision across categories - Tech, HR, Facilities, Brand & Marketing
  • Maintain and develop open and constructive supplier relationships
  • Communicate contractual changes to stakeholders while maintaining, updating, and improving those records
  • Work with legal team to ensure suppliers T’s and C’s achieve the best outcome for AO
  • Address and report any contract-related issues that come up
  • Work Onboarding/Offboarding/Renewal processes

A Few Things About You

  • Two or more years in procurement type role
  • Understanding of supplier lifecycle processes including legal and commercial contractual terms
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Confidence to ask "Why?" as well as "How?"
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-influencing skills
  • Analytical and process oriented
