Depot Supervisor

About The Role

Our Depot Supervisor will ensure that our Depot operation runs smoothly, you will liaise closely with our drivers, transport team and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of our appliances and electrical products.

• Salary: £26,000- £29,000 per annum
• Hours: 5 on 3 off 5 on 2 off (40 hours)
• Start and Finish Time: 4am - 1pm and 1pm - 10pm
• Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
• Location: Bowden Terminal, Luckyn Lane, Basildon, SS14 3AX

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

• Check that all vehicles are secure and meet required transport legislation requirements
• Monitor delivery performance throughout the day
• Support training for new starters
• Briefing team daily/weekly on key priorities and workload
• Provide ongoing communication & support with our drivers
• Complete in-house reports daily
• Complete alcohol testing when required

A Few Things About You

• Some understanding of transport legislation and logistics
• Challenge any vehicle issues or damages with our Drivers
• Ability to solve problems and make Key decisions
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel
