Job Overview

About The Role

Balancing supply and demand is like spinning plates at a circus. As a Demand Planner here at AO, you'll be working closely with our suppliers to make sure we've got just the right amount of stock!

You'll take the lead in managing a category such as Major Domestic Appliances or Audio Visual. By doing so, you'll ramp up our product availability and make sure our customers have an exceptional journey.

We know we work better when we’re together, so all our AOers come into the office Monday - Friday. We collaborate more easily, have continual conversations, we’re more creative and give better support and all this makes us more motivated and even better at what we do.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • You’ll be working with the buyer and our suppliers to forecast the product range
  • Sometimes plans change. Maybe a shipment gets delayed a hiccup in our supplier's production process. You'll need to think on your feet and adjust our plans accordingly
  • Handle transitioning our range smoothly, making sure the shift from the old to the new lineup is seamless
  • Build and maintain fantastic working relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Data Maintenance in Relex (our forecasting & replenishment system)
  • Achieving KPI targets, make sure our forecasts are spot-on, keep products available, and minimize excess stock
  • Keep tabs on sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies

A Few Things About You

  • Previous experience working as a Demand Planner or Merchandiser
  • Good communication skills is key! We want to make sure everyone is on the same page and working towards common goals
  • You'll be diving into data all day, so being comfy with numbers is a must
  • Juggling tasks like a boss is your thing. Deadlines? No problem

A Bit About Us

When it comes to appliances and electricals, we’ve got the lot. Washing machines? Yep. TVs? Check. Laptops? Absolutely. Everything except doorbells (just kidding, we’ve got those too).

We’re known for helping our customers brilliantly - and it’s no different for AOers. We care about more than what’s on your CV, because together we can do extraordinary things.

Our benefits are designed to cover the moments that matter to AOers. From health and wellness to giving back - you’ll be rewarded inside and outside of work.
