For National Work Life Week (7 – 11 October), we’re encouraging all AO’ers to focus on their wellbeing and work-life balance by taking advantage of our many facilities and lifestyle-enhancing perks.
For starters, there are no dreary cubicles and moribund meeting rooms at AO. Instead, we get to work in vibrant office facilities featuring a range of informal themed meeting spaces, complete with colourful wallpaper and whiteboard walls for jotting ideas onto.
Every AO’er also has access to a brilliant perks package designed to encourage a perfectly balanced lifestyle, including subsidised gym membership, a generous annual leave package and so much more!
Did we mention we have an on-site spa and salon at our Bolton head office? Not only are all the treatments heavily subsidised, our people are encouraged to book into the spa during their normal working hours. After all, even though getting a fresh trim is important, we’d rather you spend your personal time with the things that really matter, like friends and family. With a wide range of treatments available including massages, facials and foot massages, the spa helps keep employee stress levels to the minimum while improving overall wellbeing.
We also know how to do downtime. When it’s time to relax, AO’ers can hang out in ‘The Park’, a vibrant and modern canteen area featuring a games area with pool, table tennis and table football. To keep our busy team fully fuelled, The Park offers free healthy breakfasts, subsidised lunches, a variety of free snacks and drinks throughout the day. And when the inevitable need for that caffeine boost arises, instant coffee simply won’t do. With an onsite Starbucks on hand (which is also heavily subsidised!), breaktimes and meetings can be taken over a caramel macchiato. We think it’s important to have good reasons to leave your desk throughout the day – it’s key to feeling great while you work!
Feeling good isn’t just about being good to yourself. AOers can also take two paid days off each year to work with a charity of their choice. These ‘Make a Difference Days’ give employees the opportunity to donate their time to make a difference to others through their chosen cause. It’s important to us that AOers have the freedom to partake in rewarding activities that promote social connection and a feeling of gratitude.
With all these benefits available, joining AO is more than just a way to earn a living; you gain access to a wonderful, well-balanced lifestyle. So what are you waiting for? Apply to a role suitable for you today!
