  • If you’re commuting, swap part or all of your journey with walk or a bike ride
  • If your at home, use the time you would be commuting to go for a walk, cycle or run.
  • This also acts as a useful break between your home and work-life
  • If you’re at home, stand or walk around the room using your phone for calls or video meetings when you can.
  • Stand or walk to read emails on your phone.
  • Stretch at your desk.
  • If you want to start earlier or finish later to fit exercise into your routine, have a chat with your line manager to figure out what works best for you and your team.
  • Take one-minute movement breaks every half an hour and five-minute breaks every hour.
  • Use your lunchbreak to get some fresh air and exercise before it gets dark outside.
  • Go for a walk with members of your household to help you unwind.
  • If possible, do some exercise with people in your home.
