Convincing customers to upgrade to a more efficient heating system isn’t always straightforward.
But the new Green Heating Heroes campaign aims to make it that little bit easier.
Gas Engineers and heating system installers who sign up to the scheme – launched by Worcester Bosch – will receive:
- a Green Heating Hero van sticker,
- a Green Heating Hero t-shirt,
- and fact sheets, packed with energy saving tips, FAQs and tips on how to live more sustainably.
In light of rising gas prices, UK homeowners should be particularly interested in that final point.
It is hoped that installers will be better kitted out to speak to their customers on the benefits of upgrading to a more efficient heating system thanks to the Green Heating Heroes campaign.
According to the Energy Saving Trust, replacing a G-rated boiler for an A-rated one can chop up to £365 from yearly energy bills.
Around three million inefficient boilers are currently installed in UK homes. But from April, homeowners will be able to apply for a £5,000 upgrade to replace a boiler with an air source heat pump, as part of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
