AO.com is the official sponsors of Lancashire County Cricket Club’s Royal London

It’s official! We are the sponsor of Lancashire County Cricket Club’s Royal London One-Day Cup kit and have completely re-launched the kit, using bright green as the dominant colour.

The new kit, which features white piping and the Club’s famous Lightning logo, was showcased for the first time on Monday 27 July. The occasion marked the first time the Club has worn predominately green in its 151-year history.

Ashley Giles, former England player and current Cricket Director and Head Coach at LCCC said of the partnership, “Cricket is all about successful partnerships and we are delighted to have AO.com on board for what will hopefully be a very successful Royal London One-Day Cup campaign.”

Noted psychologist Angela Wright commented on the team’s drastic change from red to green. She said, “The AO green is a strong, bright and warm colour. It is extremely powerful and should stand the team in good stead for the tournament. The colour is reassuring and the team will feel calm and balanced when wearing the kit. This will help them to focus and they will not lose their cool if the going gets tough.”

As part of this new partnership, we (AO.com) have also rebranded the scoreboard at the Emirates Old Trafford stadium and brought our iconic green to the legendary ground. North West cricket fans can also look forward to a series of joint events which will be hosted throughout the summer at various locations across the North West, including Emirates Old Trafford.  The events will help LCCC and us (AO) in our search for the UK’s fastest bowler as participants compete to record the fastest bowling speed on a 10mx3m inflatable bowling wicket.

International sportswear company Kukri is the official kit supplier for the team during the Royal London One-Day Cup and is available from the Club Store now.
