Parklands is our 5 storey head office based in Bolton, the very town where AO was founded in 2000. It houses our inbound contact centre as well as IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Trade, Ecommerce, Brand and People.

Everywhere you look at our Bolton head office you’ll see our culture shining through, from the decor to the collaborative layout. You can even fuel up with a free breakfast, grab a Starbucks, enjoy a game of table tennis or have a relaxing massage in The Spa.

On-site Spa

The Spa is AO’s heavily subsidised salon which offers a variety of different treatments including hair styling, waxing, gel nails and more.

The Northern Quarter

This Northern Quarter themed area is a great place to have scrums, sprint kick off meetings and lightning talks.

The Why Room

Bolton has many themed rooms where you can meet and have some privacy. All our meeting rooms come with walls that you can write on, making it easier to discuss ideas together.

The Brand Lab

Bolton has 6 large meeting spaces. They all have distinctive themes which are: The Voodoo Lounge, The Lego Room, The Bar, The Brand Lab, The Warehouse and The Loading Bay.

AO.com began as a one pound pub bet between our founder, John Roberts and his friend. John launched the firm in August 2000, six months after his friend betted that he would never turn his business plan into a reality.
