About The Role

As the Finance Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of transformation projects within Finance.

You will be the first port of call for Finance users with problems that need to be resolved and will effectively analyse the root cause of the problem and propose innovative and practical solutions.

You will support the Head of Finance Transformation in defining the transformation strategy and prioritising work in the most effective areas.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Taking the lead on key finance transformation projects communicating and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders during projects.
  • Representing the requirements and ‘voice’ of Finance in cross-department transformation initiatives.
  • Leading on thorough business analysis to understand and document the underlying issues within our controls, systems, and processes both within the finance function and in the wider business where activities impact the finance outputs
  • Driving solutions along with colleagues from across the finance function and the wider business to make recommendations for new ways of working.
  • Supporting with the building and testing of new systems and processes as appropriate in conjunction with tech colleagues
  • Working closely with Financial Controllers and teams within the wider finance department to encourage the sharing of best practices and promote efficiencies and synergies across the function and between business units to drive continuous improvements in process and controls.
  • Involvement in other ad hoc projects and initiatives relating to financial controls and risks as determined by the Head of Finance Transformation.
  • Being the first point of escalation for any financial systems issues
  • Take an active role in upskilling other members of the operations finance team

A Few Things About You

  • Strong understanding of "what good looks like" in systems and processes
  • Take ownership of tasks and maintain focus when deadlines are tight
  • Demonstrates good time management to achieve task completion and utilises time effectively.
  • A good communicator who can articulate problems/solutions to other departments.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders across the business including senior management.
  • Collaboratively working with other AO Group projects that will impact people, processes, and systems within Finance.
  • Demonstrates creative thinking when solving problems, constantly driving improvements.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft AX / Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred but not essential
  • Advanced Excel skills including macros
