About The Role
We’re currently embarking on a hugely exciting internal transformation; transitioning our development teams to fully independent, autonomous, and cross-functional product teams; a business-wide initiative led by our CEO John Roberts. Currently we have over twenty development teams and a tech department of over two hundred people.
As a Software Development Team Lead, you will be a blend of maker and manager. Your leadership style will support and coach the team, creating an empowered, sustainable environment where the team will flourish.
As a hands-on technical mentor, you will instill an ethos of continual learning and professional development.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
Through your own unique style of leadership, you’ll create an environment that elevates your team. You’ll work on creating a collaborative group that takes ownership and accountability of the products they own, empowering them to work on well-engineered outcomes at a sustainable pace.
You’ll identify opportunities to experiment with new initiatives, select opportunities for the team to take ownership and accountability, while supporting the team to improve their standards using methodologies such as mob or pair programming.
You’ll build an autonomous, creative team that operates as one cohesive unit, allowing you to simply blend in - and in essence become invisible.
A Few Things About You
Technically, you have a deep understanding of C#, along with either ASP.NET or .NET Core. AWS is our cloud platform of choice, however if you’re more experienced with Azure that's cool with us. You’re familiar with development frameworks, tools and best practice.
An agile evangelist, you understand everything from ceremonies to WIP & pull systems and care about improving ways of working.
