Job Overview

A Bit About Us

We’re currently embarking on a hugely exciting internal transformation; transitioning our development teams to fully independent, autonomous and cross functional product teams; a business wide initiative led by our CEO John Roberts.

Currently we have over twenty development teams and a tech department of over two hundred people, and we're not slowing down.

As part of this transformation we’re rearchitecting our platforms to separate our estate into independently deployable products, around which we’re rebuilding cross functional teams within a Team of Teams structure; groups of teams with shared objectives and overarching goals.

More About the Role

As a senior member of a squad, not only will you lead and facilitate technical decision making, you’ll be the one the rest of the squad turn to for guidance.

A coach and mentor, you’ll help less experienced developers on their journey in producing better, cleaner and intentional code.

You’ll help them better understand agile ways of working, enabling the team to work as one to creating better outcomes and raise the bar right across the team.

It goes without saying that you’ll also be getting your hands dirty, producing top drawer code and applications

A Few Things About You

You have a deep understanding of C#, along with either ASP.NET or .NET Core.

We work with .NET Core and are happy to provide training if you’re hungry to upskill from ASP.Net to .NET Core.

AWS is our cloud platform of choice, however you’re more experienced with Azure and happy to learn AWS and it’s microservices we’ll happy help you get to grips with it.

You’ll also be familiar with development frameworks, tools and best practice, and extensive experience in architecture, API design and building scalable, distributable, maintainable and high-performance software.

You ‘get’ principles and patterns and how they translate into modern software development.

An agile evangelist, you understand everything from ceremonies to WIP & pull systems and obsess about improving ways of working.

A natural communicator, you’re able to flex your style to convey ideas to a variety of audience types, both technical and non-technical alike. You thrive on bringing out the best in those around you, you favour coaching, mentoring, collaboration and empowerment over heroism.
