About The Role
Due to the opening of our new depot in Stoke, we are now looking for experienced Shunters. As a Shunter you will ensure the smooth movement of trailers and stock in the yard and around the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone; who possesses the ability to multitask, to join a vibrant & fast-paced warehouse operation.
Our operational shift patters are: 4-on/4-off continental shift pattern with the worked days shifts. This will be based on working 4 consecutive 12 hour days (6am-6pm) followed by 4 consecutive days off, then 4 consecutive 12 hour days. The start day for each set of working days moves ahead by one day per week.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
Working within a fast paced Depot ensuring the safe transportation of trailers around site, your job will also include preparing all trailers to be loaded and ensure it is safe to begin loading goods onto the trailer
- Transporting trailers around the site (Occasional trailer movement between regional sites)
- Ensure trailers are secured at all times during loading and unloading
- Weighing of trailers
- Comply with health and safety requirements
A Few Things About You
Must hold C+E Driving Licence
Must have previous shunting experience, ideally tug trained.
Shunter certificate (HGV preferable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Close attention to detail.
Shunter Driver experience within the last two years
