A Bit About Us
We’re a bunch of people who go to great lengths to make sure our customers are the happiest customers out there. We may sell everything from washing machines to PlayStations, but at our core we’re a people business.
We roll up our sleeves and work together to make things happen. From logistics, recycling to our award winning IT teams, almost everything we do, we do ourselves to make sure every aspect of our customer journey is done properly.
We launched in 2000 as a result of a £1 bet in a Bolton pub. 18 years later we have a 5* TrustPilot rating (after 100K reviews), expanded our business into Europe and floated on the London stock exchange, but we never lose sight of what we’re about.
More About the Role
Our mission is to lead the retail evolution and as part of that you’ll be leading the way to increase consistency and efficiency between all squads, UX designers and dev teams. You’ll be working on the full end-to-end journey including cross territory and 3rd party websites to implement our new design system.
You’ll be based at our HQ in Bolton, working as part of cross-functional squad you’ll be setting the guidelines and building blocks which will be used by all squads across the estate.
Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing
You’ll be hands on, collaborating with UX, brand and dev teams to set principles and create new components for the system. Working with the UX and research team in particular will be a core part to establish best practices and ensuring we’re creating meaningful experiences for our customers.
Strong collaboration and communication with teams and departments across AO will be needed to achieve our objectives. You’ll work in an environment where challenging the status quo is the norm and be part of a team that welcomes challenge, relentlessly striving to create a world-class customer experience.
