More About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become an Integral part of our IT Commercial Team based at our HQ, Parklands, Bolton.

Directly reporting to the IT Commercial Manager, the Senior IT Procurement Analyst will be responsible for assisting senior IT leadership in delivering strategic insights and actions in-line with the IT department’s long term technical and strategic roadmaps.

Whilst this role is focused on the commercial elements of IT spend, there will also be large technology focus and experience or interest in this will be a great advantage.

Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

The Senior IT Procurement Analyst will be a person that has experience in a large IT Enterprise(s). More specifically they will be expected to perform analysis for Senior level IT Management, including analysis of existing contracts and agreements, ongoing (BAU), new IT spend and involvement in future tenders.

Forecast and plan contract renewals in order to ensure that all contracts are reviewed, renewed or re-tendered in good time with minimal business impact.

Engage with incumbent and new suppliers as appropriate to ensure contractual costs are benchmarked and challenge to ensure best value for the business.

A Few Things About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong analytical background ideally with an understanding of IT infrastructure and be able to demonstrate excellent financial acumen.

You’ll be a self-starter who has a good level of understanding of corporate budget process and procedures.

You’ll need an eye for detail given the data you’ll be dealing with. You’ll be Numerate and Literate and have strong Excel skills and presentation skills

You’ll need the ability to engage with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels internally and externally.

The role requires strong numeracy and skills use of business intelligence tools in order to create regular reports, visualizations and dashboards.

You’ll have the ability to think outside of the box, be able to spot trends and ideas and be an innovative thinker and problem solver. You’ll be able to sell their ideas to senior management.

Skills Required

* Ideally MCIPs (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualified or working towards

* AND/OR IACCM (International Association for Contract & Commercial Management) - qualified to CCM level

* Excellent Business Analytical skills

* Good working knowledge of data analysis tools

* Financial Management skills.

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

* Good understanding of IT system contracts

* Excellent attention to detail

* Good communicator - oral and written.

* Strong negotiation skills

* Has an outgoing personality

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Writing and presentation abilities.

* Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.
