We’re a bunch of people who go to great lengths to make sure our customers are the happiest customers out there. We may sell everything from washing machines to PlayStations, but at our core we’re a people business.
We roll up our sleeves and work together to make things happen. From logistics, recycling to our award winning IT teams, almost everything we do, we do ourselves to make sure every aspect of our customer journey is done properly.
We launched in 2000 as a result of a £1 bet in a Bolton pub. 18 years later we have a 5* TrustPilot rating (after 100K reviews), expanded our business into Europe and floated on the London stock exchange, but we never lose sight of what we’re about.
More About the Role
The affiliate channel is a vital part of ao.com’s paid acquisition strategy, working with hundreds of websites who advertise the brand. It’s a varied role - from dealing with reporting, to setting up offers, helping customers claim their discounts, to keeping affiliates up to date with ao news. It’s a fast-paced and reactive environment, with a great freedom to come up with ideas & try new things.
Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing
Closely monitor performance against targets, communicate with affiliates, set up commissions & follow invoicing procedures, all within our chosen technology platform
Planning and booking in promotional activity across key affiliates, including display banners, emails and bespoke landing pages to support key promotions
Reviewing performance of activity against targets via multiple reporting tools & metrics, taking learnings & making recommendations for the future
Maintaining strong relationships, externally & internally, to ensure the AO culture is delivered
Identifying opportunities to grow existing affiliates & recruit new ones
Attending interdepartmental meetings with trade, commercial, design & more to ensure the channel is up to date with the latest
Sharing knowledge with the rest of the team to apply industry learnings across-channel

A people person able to develop and maintain relationships
A commercial mind with the ability to spot a good deal & negotiate on costs
Able to juggle multiple tasks and keep on top of things
An open-mind to gain inspiration & generate creative ideas to drive the channel
Experience of affiliate or digital marketing preferred
