About The Role
Making customers happy is at the heart of everything we do. It’s such a big deal at AO that even our logo is smiling! As an Inbound Sales Executive, you’ll play a big part in keeping our customers content and their purchases protected.
And it’s not just our customers we want to keep happy; we want our AOers to have a permanent smile too. Our sales social calendar is loaded with awards days, incentives, and social activities to keep hearts pumping and recognition front of mind.
We’re big on learning and development too; 100% of our Sales Managers have been promoted internally and every single AOer has a defined career path. Team training sessions will be a regular part of your schedule so you can always sharpen up your skills.
Basic salary starts at £25,750, but we want you to earn what you deserve from day one. 85% of our team took home £50K OTE last year, and our top earners over £65K! No funny business, no moving goal posts - just realistic targets, designed to be achieved.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
Our customers love how easy it is to place an order with us, knowing that they’re buying world-class white goods. Some people shop online, others prefer to do it over the phone. And we want to do everything we can to make sure they’re protected just in case something goes wrong. You’ll be taking inbound calls from customers to support them through the buying process, and offering our value-added services as part of the conversation.
We want to leave a lasting impression on everyone who shops with us, so you’ll quickly build connections and take a personal approach to understanding their needs. Nobody likes a pushy salesperson, so take a consultative approach with our customers. We trust you, and your experience, to get the best results.
This is a hybrid role - we'll just need you onsite in our Bolton office for the first few months while you complete your training. Then it’ll go down to 2 days a week on a rota basis.
A Few Things About You
We’ll give you all the training you need to get up to speed with our products. But you should have…
- Previous experience working in a target driven sales role, where you deal with customers over the phone
- A preference for taking a consultative approach to sales, led by integrity
- A desire to hit your goals, inside and away from work
- The ability to keep your chin up in the face of adversity, and can turn past failings into lessons for success
A Bit About Us
We’re a bunch of people who go to great lengths to make sure our customers are the happiest customers out there. We may sell everything from washing machines to PlayStations, but at our core we’re a people business.
We roll up our sleeves and work together to make things happen. From logistics, recycling to our award winning IT teams, almost everything we do, we do ourselves to make sure every aspect of our customer journey is done properly.
We launched in 2000 as a result of a £1 bet in a Bolton pub. 18 years later we have a 5* TrustPilot rating (after 100K reviews), expanded our business into Europe and floated on the London stock exchange, but we never lose sight of what we’re about.
Why Choose AO?
At AO, our culture and our AO’way of doing things is vital to our success. We’re passionate people, determined to do whatever’s necessary to make our customers happy.
The AO motto is "treat every customer like you’d expect your nan to be treated, and make decisions your mum would be proud of". To do this, we train and empower each and every AO’er to strive for better ways of doing whatever they are doing.
Our AO’ers don’t just go through the motions and follow processes, it just isn’t our thing. We don’t follow trends, we set them.
As an AO employee you can take full advantage of our benefits package. As well as the fundamentals, like pensions and holidays, we have designed our "AO Perks" to help you out financially and make your work life a little easier.
