A flourishing recycling business, well placed within a growing industry, underpinned by multi-million pound investment in new sites and integral to the eco-system of one of the UK’s leading on-line retailers.

A clear mission and strategies to accelerate growth and deliver real, meaningful results, ultimately leading white goods recycling in the UK and Europe.

We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on and determined individual, who has the ambition to match our own. This role sits within our multi-faceted Commercial Team and is ideally suited to an individual with a passion for procurement and an eye for detail.

Your key responsibility will be to support the Procurement Manager in controlling purchases, ensuring the right products are purchased at the right time, at the most cost-effective prices, taking into account quality, service and lead-times. As the business continues its stellar growth trajectory, the importance of Procurement mirrors this growth, with the need to create mature processes and systems which underpin a successful multi-site operation. Your vision, passion, energy and attention to detail, along with fantastic interpersonal skills will enable you to be an active member in the growth of AO Recycling with meaningful and measurable success.

You will be supported not only by local teams, but also support based in AO.com’s head office in Bolton. You will work closely with key stakeholders to create, support and measure continued success.

Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

Supplier bench-marking and quarterly performance reviews, with transparent reporting and proactive improvement plans.Management of stock holding for spare parts with clear control and reporting procedures, minimum re-order levels, and taking into account supplier lead times.Co-ordination of warranty returns process, ensuring all key stakeholders are informed of warranty items, management of a process to capture such items, return and receive correct credits/replacements/ repair for items within warranty periods.100% accuracy of systemic records for purchase orders and delivery notes, along with validation of supplier invoices.Planning deliveries, managing goods in and put-away processes, along with relevant delivery note controls and quarantine where appropriate.Create and maintain strong, professional supplier relationships.Understand business requirements to enable effective tending and quote processes.Support and develop to managing negotiations with suppliers to obtain cost effective pricing, high quality standards, warranty (where applicable), lead-times, payment terms, and other key purchasing factors.Report to the Procurement Manager, sitting within the Commercial Team.

A Few Things About You

Driving licence very desirable.Degree with relevant experience desirable.Basic to good knowledge of MS office package including Excel, Word and Outlook.Willing team member and AO Recycling ambassador.Inquisitive, thriving in a change environment and able to challenge business status-quo.Ability to negotiate and understand value for money rather than lowest price.Accomplished at building strong relationships, internally and externally, and being able to leverage these relationships when needed.Resilient, self-motivated, methodical and organised.Have a proven analytical mind-set with the ability to understand business requirements.Be able to manage priorities and work under time pressure.
