We may have started small, but we’ve always had very big ambitions. We launched in 2001 and haven’t stopped since; a year’s worth of achievements always seems more like three at AO.

Our customers are our biggest advocates, and we’ve made millions of them happy. And not just in the UK, we’re now operating throughout Europe. We’re determined to be the best electrical retailer in Europe, and for that we need to be driven. We need to be bold enough to try new things, and smart enough to see them through. We need to care about people, and we always like to have fun while we’re do it.

For Cheeky Recruiters...

The in-house team at AO has a highly trained set of recruiters who know the precise type of person that would flourish in the business, as such we won't consider / read speculative or unsolicited CVs from agencies to any AO employee.

When we need to draw upon our external recruitment partners we will only use suppliers who have signed up to our preferred supplier list. Only our selected recruitment partners will earn a fee where we have instructed them directly within a specific remit.
