About The Role

We’re on a journey to transform the way we work at AO. We’re investing £1 million into upgrading our ERP from Dynamics AX to Dynamics 365, bringing the power, speed, and intelligence of cloud computing into our organisation.

The first stop on our roadmap is to embed, optimise and roll out D365 to our Finance team. Then we’ll be integrating other areas such as HR, Sales, and Supply Chain. So we’re looking for D365 specialists to join us and lead the delivery and growth of this critical application.

As a MS Dynamics Developer, you’ll be using your technical know-how in D365, SQL and PowerBI to support how we use the system day-to-day. We’ll look to you as our key contact for development in our applications team as you code, test and deliver high-quality solutions. This role will give you exposure to the latest and best ERP technology, unrivalled career growth as well, and the ability to shape the future of D365 at AO.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Code, test, and deliver high-quality solutions to key technical problems
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert in all new technical designs and projects for D365
  • Evaluate and resolve any legacy Dynamics AX issues
  • Own our deployment pipeline into environments using LCS/VSTS/Azure DevOps
  • Develop and continually refine our ERP implementation standards, tools, and documents
  • Take part in the quality assurance process
  • Share your knowledge to create MS Dynamics advocates across the business

A Few Things About You

  • Strong technical understanding of MS Dynamics development (X++ & MorphX)
  • Experience as a developer of Microsoft Dynamics AX2012/AX2012R3
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio 2016
  • Working knowledge of Workflows within AX
  • Software development experience creating desktop and web systems
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Portal and SharePoint services
  • Knowledge of 3rd party integration such as API, EDI etc
  • Working knowledge of project methodologies - Scrum, Agile, Kanban etc
