More About the Role

We are looking for someone with a high level of 3D modelling expertise and creative passion to take responsibility for the production of high quality, animation ready 3D assets

You will be responsible for leading a team of Jr and Mid modellers

Provide art direction, have a keen eye for photorealism and the ability to bring life into any product or environment

Lead the creation of new environments when required and frequently review and revise the existing environments and props to ensure the team is working at the highest standard

Conduct the final checks and provide sign off on the quality and accuracy of models

Lead by example and provide encouragement to maintain an engaged, creative team

Working to tight deadlines to deliver 3D models to the animation team

Provide guidance on more complicated modelling requirements when needed and have the ability to undertake ad-hoc work for marketing campaigns and innovation projects

Oversee day to day operation of the team by delegating tasks and organising workflows

Communicate deadlines and set goals to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest standard

Keep senior management informed on the progress of projects providing weekly updates on team planning and performance

Collaborate with the other team leads across the creative department to develop new techniques and processes, ensuring the 3D team are operating as efficiently as possible

Use your experience to help the team build best-practices and asset management pipelines

Conduct regular team meetings to discuss achievements and expectations

Conduct regular 121’s and appraisals to assess team and individual performance

Provide guidance and coaching to develop the skills of the Jr and Mid modellers
Assist with recruitment and training

Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

Strong experience in 3D modelling, particularly hard surface modelling , with the ability to model and texture quickly and efficiently

Strong high and low poly modelling experience

Strong photoshop skills

Great understanding of proportion, scale, perspective, lighting and colour

Experience producing photo-realistic models and environments with excellent lighting skills

Experience using Cinema 4D, Maya, 3dsmax or other similar 3D packages. Our team currently work on Cinema 4D and training will be provided for candidates with experience in another software package.

Experience using Octane, Thea, Arnold, V-Ray or similar renderer

Experience and knowledge of other 3D tools and processes including rigging and zBrush

Knowledge of the modelling tools, techniques and pipelines required to produce 3D models for a variety of end usages, such as AR.
