More About the Role
We are looking for someone with a high level of 3D modelling expertise and creative passion to take responsibility for the production of high quality, animation ready 3D assets.
You will be responsible for leading a team of modelers, providing them with constructive feedback and mentoring throughout the production process, ensuring work meets the high-quality standard and is delivered on time.
Great communication and organisation skills are essential as you will be liaising with senior and creative managers, as well as collaborating with other Leads across the creative department, ensuring the 3D team are operating as efficiently as possible.
Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing
Create accurate photo-real hard surface and organic assets, including shaders and textures, from the supplied reference material.
Effectively create and light new environments when required, and revise existing ones to ensure a consistent high standard of work.
Work to tight deadlines to deliver animation-ready assets to the animation team, as well as undertaking ad-hoc work for marketing campaigns and innovation projects.
Mentor and lead the modelling team, overseeing the daily operation whilst providing sign off, direction, and technical guidance to shape the team.
Work with other Leads to resolve technical issues, optimise assets and workflow, and develop new techniques and processes.
A Few Things About You
Has a strong skillset in both hard surface and organic 3D modelling, with a strong artistic flair.
Obsesses about the detail and has a huge passion for delivering quality work.
Can produce high quality photo-real models and environments with excellent lighting skills.
Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of working within a creative team.
Is able to work under pressure to deadlines and multitask effectively, taking accountability for your own work whilst overseeing the daily operation of the team.
Has experience managing and developing team members.
Good understanding of the pipeline from modelling through animation, rendering, and compositing.
Experience using Cinema 4D, Maya, 3DSMax, or similar 3D packages - our team currently use Cinema 4D and training will be provided for candidates with experience in another software package.
Experience using Octane, Thea, Arnold, V-Ray, or similar renderer.
