About The Role
#LI-Hybrid
People come to AO for appliances they can rely on. And that dependable efficiency runs through what we do, with projects and programmes that run smoothly and on time, led by our top-notch Digital Project Managers.
You’ll make sure everything is delivered exactly as it should be, acting as the bridge between tech teams, stakeholders, and any third-party suppliers. We’ve got a Project Delivery Framework here at AO that you’ll be the ultimate champion of and make sure it’s embedded in all live projects. You’ll live and breathe problem-solving, have a growth mindset, and make decisions that make your mum proud.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- End-to-end management of software development projects
- Manage time, cost, and quality of activities - reporting in line with our Delivery Framework
- Consider risk and issues at each step of the project
- Effectively communicate to the project teams, stakeholders, partners, suppliers and customers
- Make sure the project scope is continuously understood by everyone involved
- If any changes are proposed, make sure they’re in line with the project parameters - e.g. scope, budget, schedules
- Identify any steps needed to implement service transition and handover into a business-as-usual programme
A Few Things About You
We don’t expect you to know everything about our technology and equipment, but you’ll need to have:
- Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously, including working with external suppliers
- Knowledge of both Agile & Waterfall methodologies
- Successful experience in translating analysis into practical implementation
- Solid risk and issue management experience, mitigation planning, and finance/cost control
A Bit About Us
At AO, we want to make sure our customers are happy. When they have a smile on their face, we know we’ve done a good job. It’s at the heart of everything we do, and it’s why our logo is always smiling.
When it comes to appliances and electricals, we’ve got the lot. Washing machines? Yep. TVs? Check. Laptops? Absolutely. Everything except doorbells (just kidding, we’ve got those too).
We’re passionate, relentless and full of beans, determined to make a difference and change the world for the better. From massive changes to tiny tweaks - making a difference is what keeps us driven.
It started at a pub in Bolton with a £1 bet and a belief that things could be done better!
