About The Role

AO is on a mission to become the global destination for electricals, this has resulted in us investing in a new role to take control of our Home delivery strategy and lead the team to execute a 5 year plan. This is a new role and is a fantastic opportunity to drive value into AO.

You will be working with the Regional and District managers to ensure that we are built for future growth, ensuring a quality service to our customers though our dual employed and self employed driver model.

The successful candidate will need to develop cross functional relationships to ensure the systems and processes are robust enough to deliver the growth in both volume and proposition and that the quality and service of the performance is market leading.

We’d expect a blend of home and office working. Regular travel to our sites would be required, including at least one day a week in Crewe.

We are seeking an individual with experience of managing teams remotely, and of developing and executing growth strategies. This role requires experience of working cross functionally with a strong commercial focus. International experience would be beneficial. A team player with strong interpersonal, oral and written skills is essential.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

To formulate and drive a strategy for the Home Delivery fleet in the following areas -

P&L responsibility

  • Prepare and manage short term and long-term budget planning and builds business cases for investment.

Proposition

  • Drive the proposition in the UK and beyond to facilitate high growth.

Service & Quality

  • Ensure 5* service, NPS, performance and quality continue to develop and improve. Maintain focus on protecting the driver model

Retention

  • Working post procurement / recruitment to ensure the best quality drivers stay with the business

Central control

· Identify areas that can be centrally managed to maintain control. Develop a team capability and structure to ensure this can be executed brilliantly at each of our outbases
