About The Role

As our Goods In Stock Controller, you will control the first stage of our warehouse operation by ensuring that goods are unloaded in the correct areas, accurately marking the counts and discrepancies onto supplier paperwork, and investigating anomalies to prevent finance queries. The role is in a fast paced and often high-pressured environment, so you will need to be able to stay calm and strive to be a perfectionist with a good eye for attention to detail.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

The role is within the Inventory department, and you will be expected to learn and sometimes cover other areas of the department when required. You will work closely with Supply Chain, and the Warehouse in to provide a professional service. The days are 4 on 4 off, and follow the 6am - 6pm shift pattern. You will:

  • Allocate bays based on the requirements of the warehouse and planning teams
  • Understand the various types of goods in including backhaul, KLS, JIT, bulk and 3P
  • Inspect headers to ensure accurate signing of POD, escalating to warehouse management if header sheets are incomplete or accurate
  • Investigate discrepancies between PASS, GEAC, the POD and warehouse header sheets
  • Resolve issues listed on the header, including not expected items and invalid customers or items
  • Process the GEAC dashboard, investigate and report discrepancies in a timely manner to prevent customer failures
  • Escalate late trailers to management
  • Escalate outstanding 3P stock to warehouse management
  • Investigate and collate any outstanding stock to be scanned
  • Report stock that is outstanding to be put-away into location
  • Monitor Goods In inbox and respond promptly to escalations
  • Investigate supplier/finance queries
