We are always hunting for Engineers who enjoy keeping up to date with the latest trends and are keen to learn new skills and hone their coding craft.

You will be an integral part of an autonomous, aligned team following the "Build it. Ship it, Support it" mantra.

We’re striving towards our goal of having the best IT systems in Europe and have some hugely exciting and challenging projects on the go and in the pipeline for 2018/19 and beyond.

Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

A full stack developer in the AO Last Mile team- highly experienced in Android development. The right person will lead the Android development and help cross train the rest of the team. They will be a pivotal part of the team and help shape the future direction of the teams products and services.

A Few Things About You

Essentials:

  • Proven Android development experience
  • Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable Java code
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDKs
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
  • Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
  • Experience with RESTful APIs to call backend web services
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Experience of the DotNet framework using C#.Net
  • Web service development, e.g. WCF, RESTFul
  • TDD / SOLID Principles
  • Willingness to learn new stuff
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Desirables:

  • [1] ASP.net, MVC, JavaScript , JQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks - e.g. Angular
  • SQL Server
  • AWS
  • Continuous integration, e.g. Octopus, TeamCity
