About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference in our Mobile and Financial Services businesses. You'll be responsible for the leadership and development of the divisional finance team together with the service levels extended to the business units from central finance functions

Reporting into the AO Mobile and Financial Services Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will be the ownership of financial models that calculate revenue on insurance/mobile network commission and the mobile stock valuation / controls.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Day-to-day management of the team and ensuring deadlines are adhered to

Responsible for overall management of AO Mobile and Financial Services’ balance sheet, taking full ownership of reconciliations and identifying and presenting on risks and opportunities therein

Responsible for overall management of AO Mobile and Financial Services’ month-end processes and reporting, ensuring we have an accurate P&L with detailed explanations for and variances to forecast / budget / prior year

Ownership of the monthly insurance and network commission valuation & analysis

Ownership of mobile phone purchasing, stock and supplier rebates from a financial perspective.

Compilation of cashflow forecasts and cash variance analysis with detailed explanations

Budget preparation and owning weekly / monthly / annual reforecast

Statutory audit documentation for half-year and year-end external audits

Ability to take a high-level approach while also getting into the detail when necessary

Building strong relationships across the business and other finance teams

A Few Things About You

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA), with at least 2yrs PQE

Demonstrable and proven track record of people management

High proficiency in financial modelling techniques

Experience of dealing with large volumes of data and advanced knowledge of Excel

Familiarity with data query/data management tools is desirable but not essential (Access, SQL)

Ability to understand key numbers in the financial models and analyse key variances
