About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to make a real difference in our Mobile and Financial Services businesses.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and running financial models to calculate revenue / provisions on insurance income and mobile network income. Reporting into the AO Mobile and Financial Services Finance Manager, you’ll assist in analysing variances and trends.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
Data modelling and analysis:
Running monthly insurance commission valuation & analysis (SQL model and Excel)
Reconciling model inputs and standing data to underlying source data
Ownership of the query process with the third-party information providers, working closely with them to resolve commission statement queries
Assist with the analysis and reconciliation of mobile stock movements
Assist with value-added reporting to the business relating to purchasing, stock and supplier rebates
Cash flow forecasting related to insurance commissions, mobile network commission and stock
Assisting with budget preparation and the weekly / monthly / annual reforecast
Balance Sheet reconciliations, including provisions, prepayments, accruals etc.
Posting month end journals and assisting with reporting tasks
Assisting with external audit queries at half-year and year-end
Assisting with internal audit queries
Ad hoc tasks to support the function
Working closely with the AO Mobile and Financial Services Commercial Teams
A Few Things About You
3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
Relevant qualifications beneficial
High proficiency in financial modelling techniques
Experience of dealing with large volumes of data and advanced knowledge of Excel
Familiarity with data query/data management tools is desirable but not essential (Access, SQL)
Ability to understand key numbers in the financial models and analyse key variances
