About The Role

We’re looking for a driven, proactive, and experienced Commercial Analyst to join our exciting and growing UK B2B team that work in a hybrid way

The commercial team business partner with sales teams and operational areas across six distinct customer types. A day in the life of a Commercial Analyst is exciting and varied; everything from building robust annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and interrogating P&Ls to articulate the ‘why’ behind the numbers of business performance

You will be driven, and excited, by making a genuine difference to the financial performance of this B2B division of AO. You will be adept in building strong and long-lasting internal relationships with a broad network of stakeholders across the business to protect and grow revenue and profitability

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Business partnering to develop robust annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Understanding and articulating the ‘why’ behind performance
  • Development of Excel modelling to support forecasting
  • Analysing trends and using KPIs to inform business decisions
  • Presenting to a senior audience using compelling visuals and impactful messaging
  • Champion an ‘accuracy matters’ approach to data-led decisions
  • Working alongside trading, supply chain and logistics to deliver-the-plan

A Few Things About You

  • Experience of interpreting and explaining business performance via a full P&L (both revenue and cost lines)
  • Experience in annual budgeting and re-forecasting
  • Strong people person, great at building relationships, presenting to a senior audience, and working as part of a high-profile team
  • Proficient to an advanced level in Excel (sumifs, pivot-tables etc)
  • Awareness and interest of macro-economic impacts on business performance
