• An accredited MHE Instructor qualification (RTITB / ITSSAR / AITT)

Are you a qualified engineer looking for your next role? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join our site Engineering team on our Fridge plant in Telford.

At AO Recycling, we are committed to extracting as much value as possible from the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that is thrown away by UK households every year. We are growing rapidly and so with that, opportunities to develop and try new approaches become aplenty. Our fully automated fridge recycling plant is the most efficient and advanced in the UK and sets a new standard in recovering metals, plastics, and gases. It processes 100 fridges per hour, 700,000 per year. Our second site is a fully automated plastic recycling facility where we combine sink-float technology and electrostatic separation to turn mixed fridge plastics into high-quality recycled products.

As AO’s new Maintenance Technician, you will play a massive part in keeping our plant one of the most efficient and advanced in the UK. That means overseeing work to the plant, delivering planned maintenance schedules, and getting stuck in with improvement projects to drive the plant’s reliability and keep costs down.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

No two days are ever the same at AO Recycling, but here’s a taste of what you’ll get up to:
• Work 4 on 4 off rotational days and nights
• Complete the Planned Maintenance inspections and condition reports in line with the site maintenance plan
• Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work, keeping production downtime to a minimum

• Keep tabs on any malfunctioning equipment and keep site management in the loop

• Log your daily progress in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

We don’t expect you to know everything about our technology and equipment, but it’d be amazing if you’re:
• A qualified engineer with mechanical or electrical bias
• Experienced within a similar process, production, or manufacturing environment

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will support the AO Facilities team to service and maintain all our sites in Telford.

At AO Recycling, we are committed to extracting as much value as possible from the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that is thrown away by UK households every year. Like the rest of the AO Group, we are a very exciting and enthusiastic company to work for. The role will be covering all of our sites in Telford, Shropshire.

We are growing rapidly and so with that, there will be opportunities to for training and development.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

• Taking ownership of the Facilities function, carrying out reactive work & PPM's as required
• Arranging approved contractors to come to the site where necessary and overseeing the contractors while they're on-site
• Providing inductions & obtaining/filling out the relevant paperwork
• Operating FLT (Training can be provided)
• Supporting Procurement with moving deliveries to the stores
• Carrying out monthly stocktakes of Maintenance & Facilities stores
• Putting an electronic weekly list together of requirements to complete jobs/top up stores
• General repairs such as minor brickwork, changing/repair light fittings, door and lock repairs.
• Basic joinery
• Maintaining washrooms
• Slab, fencing and landscaping repairs
• Painting and decorating

• Installation of office equipment e.g. whiteboards, shelving & desks.

• Work closely with the Buyer to collaboratively forecast your category range

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across our warehouse/store operations. As AO’s new Maintenance Technician, you will play a massive part in keeping our plant one of the most efficient and advanced in the UK. That means overseeing work to the plant, delivering Planned Maintenance schedules, and getting stuck in with improvement projects to drive the plant’s reliability and keep costs down.

Our Depot Supervisor will ensure that our warehouse operation always runs smoothly and that each one of our customers receives their appliance on time, every time. You’ll liaise closely with our Drivers and be responsible for the effective management of the loading, de-briefing and delivery of our appliances to our customers.

You’ll be designing, building and running the platforms that keep our website, warehouses and delivery operations ticking along. From keeping things secure and scalable to making sure our systems are reliable when customers need us most, your work will play a big part in delivering a smooth, hassle‑free shopping experience every day.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for keeping our core infrastructure running smoothly day to day, whether that’s monitoring the health of servers and storage, managing access and permissions, or rolling out upgrades and changes in a safe, well‑controlled way. You’ll work closely with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, helping minimise downtime and keep our systems reliable during peak trading. The D365 Solution Architect plays a key role in shaping how we use Microsoft Dynamics 365 across Finance & Operations, Supply Chain, WMS and Azure. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our outbound logistics, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance across the team. You’ll act as a key link between frontline colleagues and management, coaching team members and upholding high standards throughout the operation.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

• Lead and support the loading operation with a hands-on approach.
• Manage trailer operations, ensuring accurate timings and safety compliance.
• Maintain bay flow and manage lane conditions to reduce congestion.
• Enforce site rules, warehouse standards, and handling practices.
• Deliver clear and confident inductions to new starters.
• Conduct retraining and audits for staff needing support.
• Coach team members to load trailers safely and correctly.
• Communicate operational concerns and suggest improvements to managers.
• Join weekly calls with depot management to review and improve performance.

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on D365 Test Lead to join us and play a key part in shaping quality across a big transformation. This isn’t about sitting on the sidelines, it’s about getting stuck in, understanding how things really work, and making sure what we release actually does what it’s supposed to. You’ll be right in the detail of our D365 journey, working closely with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to keep things moving smoothly and confidently. Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Day to day, you’ll be rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in all things testing. From shaping test coverage to running SIT and UAT cycles that reflect real-world use. You’ll create and execute meaningful test scenarios that focus on what’s changed and where the risks are, while also validating end-to-end journeys across D365 and its integrations. Automation will be a big part of your role, where you’ll build and maintain Playwright (JavaScript) tests for key user flows and develop reliable API checks using Postman and Newman to catch issues early. You’ll help keep environments ready for testing, troubleshoot when things go wrong (whether it’s data, config, or integrations), and work across APIs, middleware, and events to pinpoint problems quickly.

Alongside this, you’ll support performance testing, help improve test data management, and collaborate closely with BAs and engineers to bring testing earlier into the process, making releases smoother and more predictable.

A Few Things About You

• Solid, hands-on testing experience within D365 programmes (Finance & Ops, Supply Chain or WMS is a bonus)
• Comfortable being on the tools — executing tests, investigating issues, and seeing fixes through
• Strong experience with UI automation using Playwright (JavaScript)
• Experience building API/integration test coverage using Postman and running tests via Newman
• Confident testing end-to-end integrations and using logs/data to get to root cause quickly
• Good understanding of test data management and keeping testing environments usable
• Experience with SIT, UAT, regression, and end-to-end testing approaches
• Clear communicator who works well with both technical and non-technical teams
• Calm, practical, and solutions-focused mindset
• Keen to improve ways of working without overcomplicating things
