Our Transport Administrators play a vital part in the operation and the customer journey by making sure that all of our customers receive their deliveries on time, every time.

You’ll work closely with our central routing team and provide continual support to the Self-Employed Drivers dealing with any issues that might arise. You’ll also ensure that we remain legally compliant within Transport Legislation and working time directives.

We're looking for a Business Analyst to help shape the future of our D365 ERP platform. At AO Recycling, we are committed to extracting as much value as possible from the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that is thrown away by UK households every year. Our fridge recycling plant is one the most efficient and advanced in the UK and It sets a new standard in recovering metals, plastics, and gases. We use cross flow shredders to dismantle fridges, whilst safely extracting and treating the flammable gasses and CFCs through our cryo-condap solvent recovery plant. Ferrous and non-ferrous metals are recovered as well as plastics, and polyurethane foam. The whole process is fully automated and done using a series of screens, magnetic separators, and air classifiers. The plant produces high quality recycled products and complies with the highest European environmental standards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Plant Fitter that predominately carries out repairs and maintenance to our fleet of 36 forklift trucks in Telford. This role also provides welding and fabrication services, and general maintenance to an array of waste recycling machines.

The successful candidate will work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern on days and nights.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

No two days are ever the same at AO Recycling, but here’s a taste of what you’ll get up to:

• Carry out repair and maintenance on mobile plant and site infrastructure, as planned or directed by site management, including mechanical engineering, fabrication, and welding tasks
• Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work, making sure tools, parts and materials are available, minimising production downtime, upholding the highest safety standards, and maintaining tidy work areas through a ‘clean as you go’ approach at all times
• Ensure the equipment used to undertake welding, fabrication or other service work is in good working order and serviced as required. Must have a solid understanding of all hot work activities and welding accessories
• Ensure that all plant and equipment on site is modified and improved, as necessary, to maximise equipment availability and performance whilst still achieving output levels required to meet production demands.
• Complete dynamic risk assessments where necessary to ensure that safe working practices are upheld, and risk reduced
• Be aware of stock control and maintain shift paperwork to the highest standard, to complete condition reports and other documentation as defined by the maintenance strategy
• Assess malfunctioning equipment and provide advice to the site management team to support and influence decision‑making
• Carry out engineering project work and assist with new installations or refurbishments to ensure high quality, reliable operational performance
• Update and administer the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) while completing Planned Maintenance inspections in line with the site maintenance plan, ensuring all work is carried out safely and effectively.
• Contribute to problem solving workshops, providing engineering expertise to identify root causes of failures and subsequent improvement actions
• Attend daily operational review meetings, providing updates on Planned Maintenance compliance, live defects, and ongoing improvement plans
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and adopt a ‘clean-as-you-go’ approach to keep our plant super safe

A Few Things About You

• Experienced and qualified engineer with mobile plant repairs, welding, fabrication, mechanical bias.
• Ability to provide solutions to real time problems from concept, build to installation.
• High attention to detail with high standards of work.
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.

The role will be located at our innovative plastics recycling plant in Telford, Shropshire, which uses state of the art technology and is able to create high quality recycled plastics for reuse in new products.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

• First line manager for a team of 6-7 people within an automated production line.
• Leading the team by ensuring equipment and materials are available and operational capacity and throughput are maximised.
• Responsible for managing and appraising team performance, developing team ethic underpinned by mutual trust, dignity and respect. Key role in ensuring skills training is completed, mentoring and development of your team members, along with managing absenteeism and first line disciplinaries.
• Ensuring adherence to all company policies and processes. Drive continuous improvement, emphasising safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and morale.
• Manage staff and storage of stock and all areas are organised, tidy, compliant and safe. The site should always be VIP / audit ready, and you will drive the culture and pride in the site.
• Lead Daily Shift briefings, using and completing reports, monitoring safety, whilst ensuring all KPI’s are met. Able to identify areas of improvement, or challenges which require support or project teams to overcome.
• Updating the production data into dedicated data capture/analysis software.
• Contributing to problem solving workshops, providing operational expertise to identify root causes of failures and subsequent improvement activity.
• Attending daily operational review meetings, providing updates on operational performance, live defects, and ongoing improvement work.
• Lead, perform, and/or participate in 5S housekeeping, accident investigation, and safety audits and related activities.

A Few Things About You

• Experience in supervising teams (min. 2 years for Supervisor, min. 3 years for Shift Co-Ordinator), ideally in an operational setting.
• ILM management (L2 - Supervisor, L3 - Shift Co-Ordinator) or equivalent qualification, with a desire to advance with AO supported qualifications.
• Likes high contact time with team, and works alongside the team when required (FLT training will be given if required)
• Experience working within a processing, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Good communication skills.

Our fully automated fridge recycling plant is the most efficient and advanced in the UK and sets a new standard in recovering metals, plastics, and gases. It processes 100 fridges per hour, 700,000 per year. Our second site is a fully automated plastic recycling facility where we combine sink-float technology and electrostatic separation to turn mixed fridge plastics into high-quality recycled products.

As AO’s new Maintenance Technician, you will play a massive part in keeping our plant one of the most efficient and advanced in the UK. That means overseeing work to the plant, delivering planned maintenance schedules, and getting stuck in with improvement projects to drive the plant’s reliability and keep costs down.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will support the AO Facilities team to service and maintain all our sites in Telford.

Due to organic growth and expansion we’re looking for a Maintenance Technician with electrical bias to join the on-site engineering team at our Plastic Recycling Facility in Telford.

As AO’s new Maintenance Technician, you will play a massive part in keeping our plant one of the most efficient and advanced in the UK. That means overseeing work to the plant, delivering Planned Maintenance schedules, and getting stuck in with improvement projects to drive the plant’s reliability and keep costs down.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

No two days are ever the same at AO Recycling, but here’s a taste of what you’ll get up to:
• Work Monday-Friday 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm rotational shifts
• Complete the Planned Maintenance inspections and condition reports in line with the site maintenance plan
• Plan and deliver corrective and reactive work, keeping production downtime to a minimum
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and adopt a ‘clean-as-you-go’ approach to keep our plant super safe

We’re looking for a hands‑on System Engineer to join our online retail tech team. You’ll be designing, building and running the platforms that keep our website, warehouses and delivery operations ticking along. From keeping things secure and scalable to making sure our systems are reliable when customers need us most, your work will play a big part in delivering a smooth, hassle‑free shopping experience every day.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for keeping our core infrastructure running smoothly day to day, whether that’s monitoring the health of servers and storage, managing access and permissions, or rolling out upgrades and changes in a safe, well‑controlled way. You’ll work closely with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, helping minimise downtime and keep our systems reliable during peak trading. A big part of the role is also about protecting our data — managing backups across on‑prem and cloud environments, testing restores, and contributing to strong disaster recovery plans so we’re ready for anything.

Alongside this, you’ll design and build scalable, secure infrastructure that supports our growing business. That includes managing and optimising cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, deploying compute, storage and serverless services, and using Infrastructure as Code and automation to keep things consistent and repeatable. You’ll collaborate with engineers across the business, bringing platform expertise to projects, embedding security and compliance best practice, and keeping clear documentation so everyone knows how things work and why.

Required

• Experience as an Infrastructure Engineer working in e‑commerce or online retail environments.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, servers, storage, networking, and virtualisation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux server platforms.
• Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimisation.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, particularly Warehouse Management (WMS). The D365 Solution Architect plays a key role in shaping how we use Microsoft Dynamics 365 across Finance & Operations, Supply Chain, WMS and Azure. They’re responsible for the end‑to‑end design of our solutions, making sure everything hangs together — from functionality and integrations through to data, security and long‑term supportability.

This role keeps us aligned with Microsoft’s roadmap, sets clear architectural standards and cuts out unnecessary complexity. The focus is on building solutions that are scalable, reliable and ready for One Version — not just today, but for the long term.

Working closely with Functional and Technical Consultants, Integration Engineers, Test Leads, Enterprise Architects and our business teams, the Solution Architect helps create a D365 platform that’s secure, cost‑effective and built to support the way AO operates.

As D365 Solution Architect, you own the end‑to‑end architecture across Finance & Operations, Supply Chain, WMS and Azure. You set the direction, define clear design standards and make sure solutions are simple, scalable and aligned to Microsoft’s roadmap — with minimal customisation and full One Version readiness.

You govern configuration, extensions, integrations and ISVs, balancing the right use of D365, Power Platform and third‑party tools while keeping technical debt under control. You provide architectural oversight across environments, releases, data migration and cutover, making sure the platform is resilient, secure and operationally ready. We're looking for a Senior Test Engineer to help drive quality across one of the biggest transformations we've ever delivered. You'll play a key role in our D365 journey, getting hands-on across functional, integration, API, automation and UAT testing to make sure what we build works exactly as it should.

This isn't a role where you'll sit on the sidelines. You'll be working closely with engineers, implementation partners and business teams, understanding how things really work, spotting risks early, and helping us release with confidence.
