Bradley Boynes

Graduate Sales Executive

Bradley graduated from MMU in 2018, with a degree in Business and Marketing.

He joined AO as a Graduate Sales Executive in September 2018.

In May 2019, Bradley started studying his post graduate qualifications with accredited by The Institute of Sales Management.

The qualification trains our Graduates up to both A Level and Foundation degree in Sales. We asked Bradley about his qualification so far:

Why have you decided to further your studies?

I believe its always crucial to improve yourself and be the best you can be. I really enjoy working in AO’s sales function and can absolutely see a long-term career in sales—therefore a qualification in this sector makes sense.

What does the qualification include?

The main topics include:

Understanding the laws and ethics of selling; Sales presentation skills, Handling objections, Negotiation and closing the sale, Understanding influences on buyer behaviour.

How is it going so far?

Great! There were 10 of us in the AO classroom for 5 hours last week. We started learning about the laws and ethics of selling. It was great to understand the theory behind selling and we then worked in small groups to put the theory into practice. On the back of that, I now need to complete a 1500 word assignment.

What advice would you give to graduates considering the Graduate Sales role at AO?

Give it a go, you’ll meet great people, have a great opportunity to develop your personal skills and make some decent money. Coming out of uni it is easy to feel lost especially if you have no experience, but the training at AO was a huge factor in me joining and made me feel at home straight away.
